This current and very informative site is maintained by the U.S.
Government. It includes numerous links to consumer
information, specific state and federal information, statistical
reports and research.
Citizens for the Right to Know

The site explains
different types of health plans, offers tips on how to choose a
plan, and covers how to file a complaint. It provides information on
California legislation related to health care. Also, it links to
California Internet Formulary Reference where you can check if your
plan covers a currently prescribed medicine. The Formulary is
searchable by health condition, drug name, and drug category.

The Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) oversees all HMOs
in California, as well as other health plans. Links are
