This government site for small business provides a wealth of information and guides on licensing, financing, and starting your own business. It is overseen by the Small Business Administration General Counsel. It provides a gateway to federal, state, and local information, with links to online forms needed for filing licenses and other information.
Cornell Law School -- Commercial Law
Cornell Law School's public access law dictionary and encyclopedia that was collaboratively created by users and overseen by the Legal Information Institute at Cornell University. Links for commercial and business law. Includes links for the complete Uniform Commercial Code, which governs business law in most states.
A subject guide of Internet legal resources. Includes law schools, cases and codes, legal practice materials, resources by state, legal associations, etc.
Business and Nonprofits Gateway
FirstGov.gov is an interagency initiative administered by the General Services Administration of the federal government. Serves as a gateway to laws and regulations, as well as statistics and general information, of owning and managing a business or nonprofit.
Hieros Gamos Worldwide Legal Directories
Provides comprehensive links for US and international business and trade organizations, governments. Also links to treaties, publications and other sites for business law.
