ARTstor Digital Library provides more than one million images with tools for teaching and research. Its collections comprise contributions from outstanding museums, photographers, libraries, scholars, photo archives, and artists and artists' estates from all over the world (read the full list here: http://www.artstore.org/collections). CQ Researcher has full-text articles about current topics.  This is the online version of the
print (paper) publication CQ Researcher. The paper version can be found in the Library
periodical reading room (2nd floor).

by state agencies, reviewed and approved by the Office of Administrative Law, and filed with

Code of Federal Regulations "The Code of Federal Regulations" (CFR) is the codification
of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the executive departments
and agencies of the Federal Government.  It is divided into 50 titles that represent broad areas subject to Federal regulation.  Each volume of the CFR is updated once each calendar year and is issued on a quarterly basis." Contemporary American Poetry Archive  An electronic archive designed to make out-of-print
volumes of poetry available. It includes 49 books by 27 poets.  The texts are clearly printed and may be downloaded, but reprints require permission from electronic addresses that are listed along with each work's publication history. The ease of access to these poetry tests is among its most attractive features.

Online Dictionary of the Social Sciences provides approximately 1000 entries covering  the disciplines of sociology, criminology, political science and women's study.  The focus of this dictionary is Canadian.  This dictionary is an electronic (database) version of a 900+ item dictionary authored by Gary Parkinson, Ph.D. and Robert Drislane, Ph.D.  The electronic version is fully searchable (both terms and definition text). 
Conversion was undertaken by ICAAP for Athabasca University.  This dictionary if
being offered free of charge to students, instructors, and anyone else interested in
learning more about the social sciences.

Philosophy Research Base  PRB is a meta-index of Internet philosophy resources that links
to large philosophy sites and to specific subject subsections in those sites.  The resources are predominantly concerned with Western philosophy.  A search engine is also provided.  PRB adds value by offering an electronic newsletter that notifies about updates to the database.

PsycARTICLES is a premium collection of full-text articles from major scholarly journals in   
the discipline of psychology. Most of the 58 APA journals included in PsycARTICLES now go back to volume 1, issue 1. The earliest journal is Psychological Review, which was started in 1894. The database also contains journals that are no longer published.

This Google Custom Search Engine (CSE) designed by UC Berkeley targets 800+ academic,
government agency, non-profit, and other web sites that provide high quality, downloadable statistical information and data sets. Emphasis is on data pertaining to the social sciences, health, developing countries, energy, natural resources, and the environment.

U.S. Census Bureau  has the most user-friendly, high quality, and comprehensive Web sites
maintained by government agency.  Among the searchable site's features are customized maps
made on the spot, up-to-the-minute population projections, and a short promotional video. 
The point-and-click menus used to access tabulations of population, housing, economic, and
other data are well organized and should be particularly useful to undergraduate students.
