AAAS Policy Brief : Stem Cell Research

The American Association for the Advancement of Science
established the Center for Science, Technology and Congress in order
to provide timely, objective information to Congress on current
science and technology issues. They also assist the science and
engineering community in understanding and working with Congress. They have provided
Congress with a policy brief on
stem cell research. This site provides historical perspective as
well as the latest on this subject.

at the forefront of stem cell research, so this site has the very
latest information directly from the labs that are conducting the

The Pew Forum on
Religion & Public Life seeks to promote a deeper understanding of how
religion shapes the ideas and institutions of American society.
This page deals with stem cell research from a religious perspective,
but presents a very balanced view. It is very current as well.

This site, authored by the National Institutes of Health, is an
excellent source of information about the science of stem cells.
The information is presented in easy to understand language and
includes illustrations. There is no editorializing, just a
presentation of facts. At the end of the site there are also
some excellent links to explore and a glossary of terms. The
site is regularly maintained.
