Human Trafficking of Children in the United States
U.S. Department of Education fact sheet that defines terminology, suggests links to government sites, and provides information about how to identify children who are victims of trafficking.

PENet : Prostitutes’ Education Network
The Prostitutes’ Education Network is an information service about legislative and cultural issues as they effect prostitutes and other sex workers. The service is comprised of information for sex workers and activists/educators who study issues of decriminalization, human rights in the context of prostitution, violence against prostitutes and women, sex workers and pornography, as well as current trends in legislation and social policy in the U.S. and internationally. Has an excellent section on statistics relating to prostitution.  This site has a pro-prostitution, pro-decriminalization bias.

Prostitution Research & Education 
This site, sponsored by the non-profit San Francisco Women's Centers, features facts, services, and information about activists, prostitution and violence, trafficking, and legal issues.  Decidedly anti-prostitution slant from a feminist perspective.

"A Summons to Comradeship" : World War I and II Posters
University of Minnesota Libraries digital collection of poster.  A primary resource for historic images of posters addressing prostitution in World Wars I and II.  In the University of Minnesota Libraries archive, click the "search the collection" option, then limit search by subject "prostitution" to find archived posters created by the United States Army Education Commission, United States Navy, American Social Health Association, and Arthur Henriksen.

Trafficking in Persons : a Guide for Non-Governmental Organizations
Information regarding federal immigration rights afforded to victims of human trafficking.  Resources section provides government contacts that offer assistance, such as legal aid, to trafficking victims.

Women's Human Rights Resources
This site from the Bora Laskin Law Library in Toronto covers many women's issues, including prostitution. Click on the link marked “Women’s Human Rights Resources Database” and select “prostitution” from the list of issues. Each issue has articles, documents, and annotated links.

Search keyword "prostitution" to access entries in a variety of online books and encyclopedias such as Encyclopedia of Crime and Justice, West's Encyclopedia of American Law, and New Catholic Encyclopedia.

Issues & Controversies @
Select issues & controversies link, then search "Human trafficking" for information regarding efforts to reduce the effects of this crime.  Includes text from a 2004 speech to the United Nations General Assembly in which George W. Bush addresses the subject of human trafficking.

A search for keywords "prostitution and human trafficking" will provide results from journals, newspapers, magazines, reports, and trade publications, such as The Chronicle of Higher Education, Military Review, and Juvenile Justice Digest.

 Using either "human trafficking" or "prostitution" as a subject term, access numerous sources including newspapers, magazine, and reference book articles.  Graphics and timelines are tools provided by SIRS to increase comprehension.
