Kristie's Law is a proposed measure to address safety standards
relating to police vehicular pursuits. It has links to police
pursuit information from many states, reports on proposed
legislation, media reports of chases, and police and vehicle safety.
Police Pursuit Policies in Other
This 2004 report examines pursuit policies of police departments in
Los Angeles, San Jose and Oakland, as well as Detroit, Philadelphia,
New Orleans, Phoenix and Colorado Springs.
Policedriving.com - Articles
Policedriving.com is the Website of Travis Yates, a police driver
training instructor in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This page has links to
many articles on pursuits and other police driving issues.
PursuitSAFETY was founded in California in 2007, with the goal
of stopping unnecessary police chases to prevent injury or death of
officers and the public. From the organization's mission
statement, "We are accomplishing this goal by education programs,
public service announcements, fostering pursuit research, and
sponsoring and/or promoting legislation designed to strike an
appropriate balance between the apprehension of drivers who flee and
public safety." The site has links to recent news stories on
pursuit incidents, statistics, proposed legislation, and more.
