Very rich site which provides updated news on hate crimes and groups.
Database of graphic symbols associated with the crimes and extremist
groups. Archive of ADL press releases. Suggestions for
teaching children about the topic. An overview of federal and
state laws and statutes with a map linking to each state's laws and
statutes, and ADL model legislation for crimes motivated by hate.

FBI - Civil Rights Program - Hate Crimes

The FBI began tracking hate crimes with the passage of the Hate Crimes
Statistics Act of 1990. Site includes the federal definition
classifying a crime as a hate crime, links to statistics from the FBI
Uniform Crime Reports on numbers of incidents, and information about
FBI initiatives such as the FBI Task Force on Hate Crimes and training
provided to community law enforcement agencies.

Hate across America

Examines the modern history of hate crimes in America, going back to
the 1964 murder of three civil rights workers by the Ku Klux Klan in
Mississippi. Traces the spread of hate crimes and groups beyond their
traditional strongholds in the South and looks at the new face of
