biography. A valuable feature of this site is ABT's "Library"
which is listed under "Education and Training" - a text and
video dictionary of ballet terms will be especially useful!

major film tracing the impact of African Americans on American
modern dance, "chronicling the crucial role that African

vocabulary of classical ballet, with the emphasis on posture,
placement, and movement potential.
Dancing : The Individual and tradition, Program 7

Presents the history of choreography based on the creativity of
Isadora Duncan, Ruth St. Denis, Martha Graham, Katherine Dunham,
George Balanchine, Twyla Tharp, Eiko and Koma, Sardono Kusumo,
and Garth Fagan. Includes examples of contemporary choreography
from the USA and Japan, as well as archival film footage.
Flamenco : a film
Call number: DVD 0029
A series of flamenco dances, "an integral part of the Spanish
heart and culture" are performed by three hundred dancers and
photographed by the master cinematographer, Vittorio Storaro.
