EDGAR
Database

EDGAR = "Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval," the Securities
and Exchange Commission's database of the various documents (filings),
all full text online since 1994 to the present, that publicly held
companies doing business in the United States are required to file
with the SEC.

In the box for quote type in a company
symbol or name. A "Company
Profile" page results, including the latest information about the
price of a company's stock.
National Information Center (NIC)

The National Information Center (NIC) is a central
repository of data about banks and other institutions for which
the Federal Reserve has a supervisory, regulatory, or research
interest, including both domestic and foreign banking
organizations operating in the United States. This Web
site provides access to NIC data, allowing the public to search
for detailed information about banking organizations.
SEDAR Web Site
http://www.sedar.com/
SEDAR (System for Electronic Document Analysis and
Retrieval) is the Canadian equivalent of EDGAR. You can
get public securities filings.

Can look up information and get current news in ProQuest on
individual corporations.
Reference USA

This database contains, in module format, detailed information on
more than 14 million U.S. Businesses, 210 million U.S. residents,
855,000 U.S. health care providers, 1.5 million Canadian businesses,
and 12 million Canadian households. Companies can be searched
by name, location, SIC code, keyword, etc.
