Produced by the Center for Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania, "the Internet's first and largest site on bioethics." The Web site features a section on cloning with discussion of ethical, legal, and governmental issues. Many links provided for scientific and ethical issues, government transcripts, and news articles on the subject. Under section for Ethical Issues, provides many links for Web sites on topic.
Human Genome Project Information - Cloning Fact Sheet
The Human Genome Project is coordinated by the U.S. Dept. of Energy and the National Institutes of Health. The projects' goals are to identify all 30,000 genes in human DNA, and address the ethical, legal, and social issues (ELSI) that arise from the project. This Web site section gives an overview of cloning with discussion of some of the ELSI issues.
This site, sponsored by the University of Utah, offers a very complete view of cloning, including facts, history and even interactive exercises. The information is current and includes links to the latest news in this field.
Click on "Biology & Nature", and then type the word cloning into the search box at the top of the screen. Some of the material is very technical, but you won't find it anywhere else! You will receive ranked results from federal websites and databases.
Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy -- Cloning
Excellent overview that includes many aspects of this topic and has current research cited. Cover legal, social and economic aspects, as well as scientific and medical.
