Children Now is a national organization with special depth in California. This
Web site is rich in full-text documents on many issues concerning the well-being
of children. Look particularly at the
Publications
and the Links. The
data contained in the
California
Report Card 2005 is helpful for formulating an overall picture of how
children fare in California, using the indicators of family economics, health,
education, and safety.

and battery that apply to adults. Links to reports, editorials, and news
items discouraging the practice of spanking.
