Issued by the American Psychological Association's Office of Public Policy, this treatise on affirmative action contains definitions, frequently asked questions, and a bibliography as well as examples of passive and active affirmative action policies.
Affirmative Action and Diversity Project : A Web Page for
Current information produced by the University of California, Santa Barbara. Their home page describes this resource best: "this site presents diverse opinions regarding Affirmative Action topics; rather than taking a singular pro or con position, it is designed to help lend many different voices to the debates surrounding the issues of affirmative action." This site is an academic resource and it provides scholars, students, and the interested public with on-site articles, and theoretical analyses, policy documents, current legislative updates, and an annotated bibliography of research and teaching materials.
Secretary of State - Vote96 - Proposition 209
This site is prepared by the Attorney General of California and contains the actual text of Proposition 209. There are links to analysis and arguments for and against this initiative. "This Web site is devoted to investigating the aftermath of the passing of Proposition 209, the elimination of affirmative action programs in California in November of 1996."

Gender, and Affirmative Action
This is an annotated bibliography of resources on race, gender, and affirmative action intended for use of faculty designing courses for the University of Michigan's Winter 1999 Theme Semester on Diversity, and for students and browsers (that's you!) interested in a guide to the literature. Themes covered by the bibliography include: racism, sexism, affirmative action in education, legal cases about affirmative action, and alternatives to affirmative action. The bibliography also has links to additional sites.
