Controversial Topic Books

Need a book that provides information about a controversial topic?  Then read one of our special series of books specifically on controversial issues.  These series provide PROs and CONs  as well a list (i.e., a bibliography) of additional articles and other books on your chosen topic.  Controversial Topic Books cover such issues as Abortion, Child Abuse, Violence against Women, Gangs,  Welfare Reform and more.   

All the books listed are available in the Reference Room on the second floor of the Library.  To locate a call number and location of the book please follow these steps:

1. From Rio Hondo Library web site click on Rio WebCat




2. Click on Power Search




3. In the first line  under "words or phrase" type your research topic. Example: illegal immigration
     In the section SEARCH LIMITS under LOCATION select Reference Desk  2nd Floor

4. Click on Search Catalog
