Printing and
photocopying FAQs
[text-only
version for printing]
What do I need to print or make
photocopies?
-
You will need a copy card that you can
purchase in the Copy Center.
-
The printers and copiers do not take
coins.
-
A copy card is needed for all printing
and copying in the Library.
-
You will need a $1.00 bill the first time
you purchase a copy card; it will only have 50¢ value on it
because the other 50¢ goes to the cost of the plastic card
itself. However, you can add value to your copy card at any
time using dollar bills; see below.

How do I purchase a copy card?
-
You will need a $1.00 bill to purchase a card. The card costs 50¢ and you get
50¢ of printing (5 pages) with the first dollar.
-
Keep
your card. You only buy the copy card ONCE. Any time after you have
purchased your card, you can add value in $1.00 increments. The dispenser
machine does not give change for larger bills ($5.00, $10.00 or more).
-
Follow the instructions on the copy card dispenser to add
