Printing and photocopying FAQs [text-only version for printing] [back to graphical version]
What do I need to print or make photocopies?
A COPY CARD. This is available from a card machine on the 2nd floor of the library (next to the copy machine).
The Printers and copiers do NOT take coins.
A copy card is needed for all printing and copying in the library.
How do I purchase a copy card?
You will need a $1 bill to purchase a card. The card costs 50¢, and you get 50¢ of printing with the first dollar.
Keep the card. You only buy the copy card ONCE. After the initial 50¢ credit is used up, you put the card back in the machine and you can add $1.00 on to your card in credit.
I need a dollar bill. Where can I get change?
The Bookstore, or the Campus Inn in the lower Quad, can provide change. Or, ask a Librarian to complete the "Request for Change" form and you may take it to the Cashier's window at the Administration Building.
How much does printing and photocopying cost in the library?
It costs 10¢ per page for printing and copying in the library.
I have a card, now how do I print from my computer?
Send your internet or Word document to print (from your computer), with the FILE/PRINT command.
Click OK.
Another prompt will come up on your screen to enter 'Release key entry" This can be any word (less than14 characters) in lower case. You must type it twice to confirm it.
Go to the print workstation (located in back corner of 2nd fl.), and press the ENTER key to bring up the screen. Enter the same word (release key) you entered at your computer. This will bring up your print job on the screen.
Insert your print card. Click on the print jobs you wish to print, and then click PRINT at the bottom of the screen.
